I found the portion sizes to be quite substantial and reasonably priced, which was a positive start. However, it was disappointing to discover that the menu consisted solely of pre-made dishes. This became evident when our food arrived at the table just a few minutes after ordering, indicating a very quick, almost instant, preparation. Furthermore, the service staff seemed visibly stressed during our visit.

The value here is truly remarkable, especially when you consider the incredibly generous portion sizes. Although I did notice the sauces were a bit too thick during our visit, which can happen, it was a minor point in an otherwise delicious and budget-friendly meal. The food is generally excellent, with the dumplings being a definite highlight – they taste exactly like the good old days! I genuinely regret not taking more pictures, as the portions are truly massive; my roulade, at a mere €12.90, seemed almost 'mini' compared to other dishes. Furthermore, the service was exceptionally friendly, and the picturesque view of the forest from the restaurant is absolutely delightful. I'd confidently give the food a 4 out of 5 and the ambiance a perfect 5 out of 5, making it a place I'd certainly recommend for a satisfying meal.

The salad was no better, clearly a ready-made bag mix with only a few pieces of cucumber and tomato added on top. I would give the food a 1 out of 5, while the ambiance was a slightly more acceptable 3 out of 5.

The inn itself has a wonderfully rustic character, almost transporting you back to the charming, traditional pubs of the DDR era. Our party of ten, representing various age groups, was thoroughly and positively impressed by every aspect of our visit. We are definitely planning to return and sincerely hope they continue their fantastic work. Both the culinary experience and the atmosphere truly earned a perfect 5/5 from us.

The meals I enjoyed were consistently ample and truly flavorful. What's more, the value offered through their pricing is practically unparalleled. I'm genuinely thankful for the experience!
